Proverbs 16:9 “A mans heart plans his way, but The Lord determines his steps.”
Pastor Jonah is the senior and founding pastor of Mercy Chapel.
Both he and his wonderful wife Kaitlin have 4 beautiful children.
Pastor Jonah, Kaitlin and their children moved from Massachusetts to Maine in 2017 and started the church planting process in their home with about 8 to 10 people.
Soon thereafter the small home fellowship quickly grew and they ran out of space. They then moved the small group of 15 people to a community center in Wells Maine, and they quickly outgrew that space within a year's time. After moving from the community center, The Lord led the church to settle in Sanford, Maine. Mercy Chapel was officially established in 2019, and we have remained in the city of Sanford since 2018.
Pastor Jonah was born and raised in Eastern Massachusetts. He was raised in a christian home and grew up knowing The Lord despite some family difficulties early on in his childhood. Eventually his Mom led him to Christ and Jonah was saved as a young man in 1989 at 12 years old. A few years later at the age of 14 he began to wander from The Lord and spent a good part of his young adult life as a prodigal, but The Lords plan for his life prevailed.
In 2004, after years of drugs, alcohol, licentious and carnal living, The Lord led Jonah to a small church in Saugus, Massachusetts, where he called upon The Lord, rededicated his life to Christ, and began actively serving in that church. It was during that time that Jonah felt the call of The Lord to Pastoral ministry, and the call to one day start a church.
After a few years of walking with The Lord and serving in the church, Jonah was temporarily sidetracked by a career as a full time firefighter. However, in 2008 he began attending a small Calvary Chapel in Peabody, Mass (Great Rock Church) and The Holy Spirit got Jonah back on track. There he continued in obedience, and pursued his calling into pastoral ministry. Once The Lord brought Jonah to Calvary Chapel he knew he had found his place, and his church home.
After diligently and faithfully serving in ministry for 3.5 years, while remaining dedicated to doctrinal and theological studies, Jonah was ordained as an associate pastor in 2012, where he and his wife faithfully served together until 2017. In January of 2017 Pastor Jonah, his family, and his team moved to Maine and Mercy Chapel is here today.
Throughout his ministerial life, Pastor Jonah and his wife had the pleasure of serving in, and overseeing various ministries.
He served as:
Addictions Pastor
Outreach / Evangelism Coordinator
Prison Ministry Pastor
Worship Pastor
Men’s Ministry / Discipleship Pastor
Finance oversight team member

His wife Kaitlin served as:
Children’s church leader and coordinator
Women’s ministry & women’s discipleship leader

Secretary / Treasurer
Loving mother, and faithfully dedicated wife.
Pastor Jonah, his wife Kaitlin, and their family have dedicated their lives to Christ, and serving His Beloved Church in every way they can, and will continue to do so until He comes.
All for His Glory…
